Do You Have To Be A Good Swimmer To Snorkel What Is The Average Age When Kids Learn To Snorkel?

What is the average age when kids learn to snorkel? - do you have to be a good swimmer to snorkel

My children are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. .... and are excellent swimmers. He will wear a mask and go under water very well. I was hoping that would get next summer a good age for diving. We live in Florida and I am mad to find their expressions when they see the world, under water!

There is no average age. Where I lived, and like other water activities, where we were, my son (a sailor in real terms) do not start until the snorkeling around 9 or 10. My grandchildren, aged 6 and now diving in shallow waters 8th My granddaughters are excellent swimmers (8 thru10), but also because of the circumstances that none of them even snorkeled. If your kids are good swimmers and comfortable in the ocean, then help them get started.

they wear masks and go underwater sound good ... vary from child to child, with your comfort in the water
